Most people who hire an attorney are concerned about legal costs. In many cases their concern is justified as litigation can be expensive.

When accepting a case, we generally ask for a deposit to be applied toward the anticipated costs of the case. This deposit is referred to as a "retainer". Clients are billed on a monthly basis and receive a detailed statement itemizing the work done during the previous month. The hourly rate can vary depending on the complexity of the case and other considerations.

In some cases a fixed fee may be appropriate, particularly when the case is simple and the extent of the work to be provided by our office is foreseeable.

At Coit and Dean, P.C. we will work with you to explain all of the potential costs associated with your unique legal problem and attempt to minimize the costs whenever possible. We accept various forms of payment.
